Tonya:( laughing) Shanna: What do you believe is the secret to your marriage success? Tupelo: We are simple people with simple plans and a simple life. Tonya: We are a happy couple, we manage to get over any problems that we may have had.
We both are stubborn people. Sometimes it is me who breaks the ice when there is coldness between us.
Tupelo: I feel the same way! I feel like I break the ice between us. Like I said before, we are
simple people. We just go with the flow.
Shanna: What would you say is most important, Compromise or Compassion?
Tupelo: That compromise is a tricky one. Tonya: I say compromise. On some issues, sometimes he doesn ' t say yes immediately, I have
to talk to him and let him see all the options. That sometimes is tough because I am usually thinking‘ Go head and just say yes please!’( laughing)
Tupelo: I don ' t make irrational decisions. You have to think through things.
Shanna: What do you guys do for fun? Tupelo: Like I said before, we are simple
people. We take some trips here and there. I am at work a lot.
Tonya: We love just spending time at home.
Tupelo: Yes, and watching the Cowboys
play.
Tonya: Yes!! We love watching Dallas play.
Shanna: How awesome! I do too!!!! Tupelo: Sometimes we do get away. Our
children are really active in extracurricular activities. Our son is a senior. He works and will be going to college soon to major in business. Our daughter is a freshman and she cheers.
Shanna: That is great to hear! I love to hear
how today ' s children are doing well and succeeding. It is awesome to hear that you both have huge success in your marriage. How do you both deal with the obstacles and challenges when they arise?
Tonya: For me, it is prayer. I just pray.
Tupelo: I must say we do have challenges. But there is one area of our lives we don ' t have any
challenges and that is with our kids. We don ' t have to spank our kids. They are great kids. That part of our marriage, we don ' t have to worry.
Shanna: What is most memorable about your wedding day?
Tonya:( bursting out with laughter) Tupelo:( laughing out loud and holding stomach)
