You can’t grow in faith without reading and hearing the Word of God. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). 8. To ?nd deliverance. You won’t know what you need to be free of unless you study God’s Word to ?nd out. “If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32). 9. To have peace. God will give you a peace that the world can’t give, but you must ?nd it ?rst in His Word. “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165). 10. To distinguish good from evil. Everything has become so relative today, how can you know for sure what is right and wrong without God’s Word? “Your Word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You!” (Psalm 119:11). Going for the Gold God has gold nuggets and diamonds everywhere in His Word, but we must dig them out. And, just like precious gems and metals when they are ?rst pulled from the ground, the treasures of God’s Word need to be polished and re?ned in us in order to have the brilliance they are capable of revealing. Every time you go over one of God’s promises in your heart, it will become more re?ned and polished in you and shine more brightly in your soul. One of the most priceless gems you will ?nd in God’s Word is His voice. That’s because He speaks to us through His Word as we read it or hear it. In fact, we can’t really learn to recognize God’s voice to our soul if we are not hearing Him speak to us ?rst in His Word. The more you
