Pick one of your chosen jobs to explore deeper. Below, list
steps you can take to prepare you for that job. Develop a Plan
A and Plan B. For instance, if you chose a job that requires an
advanced degree, list 2-3 institutions that offer the required
degree program? Do you meet their entry requirements (i.e.
GPA, qualifying SAT/ACT)? How will you finance 6-8 years of
tuition? Can you enter that career field and get needed training
on-the-job? Does the military offer a similar career option?
List all the possible ways you can imagine to reach your career
goals even if your first choice doesn’t work out. Remember,
there are many pathways to reach your goals. You can gain ex-
perience through many related jobs you may not have realized
existed.
