Please hold onto this as proof of submission. Your assignment will be logged and passed to your tutor within 48 hours of the submission date. For summative work following moderation your assignment may be passed to an External Examiner the outcome of which will be: • • Satisfactory standard a referral; work is determined to be not of satisfactory standard – additional work may be required. Where a referral has been made and additional work carried out, assignment will be passed back to the External Examiner the outcome of which will be: • ? Satisfactory Standard Module fail THE MODERATION PROCESS Your assignment will be subject to internal moderation and review by an External Examiner. External Examiners are appointed by the University to assess whether the learning and teaching on the degree programmes compares favourably with other similar programmes in the UK. This quality assurance system is mandatory throughout all degree programmes in higher education in the UK. The agreed grade for your module assignment will be released after internal moderation. The grade will then be ratified by the external examiners at the exam board.
