Integrated Resources
All of Plumtree Baby ’ s materials seamlessly integrate . This curriculum is based on our comprehensive 80-page Settling In with Baby ( abbreviated SIWB ) parent book ( right ) which can be used by parents as a guide in class and as a takehome reference .
The book , along with this curriculum , has a corresponding PowerPoint ( below ) with 160 slides including seven topics and four videos .
Other complementary resources are available from Plumtree Baby including handouts and posters , most available in English or Spanish .

In our parent books , wherever you see this plum symbol , you will find an important topic highlighted . Often , there are several different options or approaches for these topics .
Encourage parents to discuss questions and preferences with their partner and health care provider ( doctor or midwife ). Doing so will help parents make informed decisions about the approach that is best for their family . The Settling In with Baby parent book is divided into three chapters that correspond with the three units in this curriculum . Chapters 2 and 3 of the book include the same content as the standalone Newborn Care and Breastfeeding Your Baby books and PowerPoints , respectively . If you use one of these resources instead of Settling In with Baby ( book or PowerPoint ), or if you have a baby-friendly version of Settling In with Baby ( available through custom order ), please be aware that page numbers and slide numbers in this curriculum will need to be adjusted to reflect your resources .
