Studying while working
Our Learning at Work courses give you the freedom to gain a postgraduate degree without leaving your job .
Our range of flexible , work-based courses allows you to tailor your programme of study with real projects . You can tailor your studies in two ways : select distance learning modules that help your develop your skills at work and select work-based projects that benefit both you and your employer .
You ’ ll have the option to study online modules from home or work . If you prefer , you can also choose to study some modules on campus or study purely from a distance . Start in September or January and work at your own pace .
There are no standardised entry requirements and you could gain credits for your learning and experience to date , reducing the cost and time to complete .
MA / MSC Professional Studies
If none of the specialisms listed is right for you , you could choose an MA or MSc in Professional Studies . A Professional Studies qualification is especially relevant if you work in a multi-faceted role . It allows you to build evidence of key transferable skills that may not focus on subjectspecific qualifications .
Professional recognition
Your Learning at Work course could lead to professional recognition in your field . For example , our occupational health and safety courses are accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health ( IOSH ) and / or the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment ( IEMA ). Most of our courses can be used to gain professional recognition . This recognition could lead to you being granted Chartered ( CEng ) or Incorporated ( IEng ) Engineer status .
Funding your study
Your studies can be funded either by yourself , your employer or Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Services ( ELCAS ) for armed forces personnel .
