Postgraduate taught : LLM , MA , MArch , MBA , MSc , MPA , MRes , PGCE
Guidance : We typically expect a good Bachelor ’ s degree from an internationally recognised university . But make sure you look at course listings online or pages 40 – 89 for minimum classifications and any acceptable equivalents .

Don ’ t forget : If applying for an MRes you ’ ll need to submit a brief proposal outlining your initial ideas for a research thesis .

Postgraduate research : MD , MPhil , Professional Doctorate , PhD , PhD by Publication
Guidance : We typically expect an upper second-class honours degree or a Master ’ s from an internationally recognised university . But make sure you look at listings online or on pages 90 – 93 for minimum classifications and any acceptable equivalents . For a Professional Doctorate , your work environment must also be able to support your professional research and development project .
Don ’ t forget : Submit an enquiry via the subject area pages on port . ac . uk , identifying your research question and the aim of your intended research . If applying for a pre-approved self-funded / funded project , you ’ ll need to add the project code to your application form .
