DEGREE
APPRENTICESHIPS
ON A DEGREE APPRENTICESHIP, YOU COMBINE WORK WITH
STUDY. YOU’LL BE IN EMPLOYMENT AND EARN A SALARY,
WHILE YOU ACHIEVE A FULL UNIVERSITY MASTER’S
DEGREE PART TIME.
These new courses have been developed by employers,
professional organisations and universities so that new
and established employees can boost their skills and
knowledge. • Normally be living in the UK (not Channel Islands or
Isle of Man) or European Economic Area (EEA) for
three years prior to the start of the course and not
solely for study.
What are the advantages?
Our degree apprenticeship courses combine the
academic study you’d expect from a university
degree with practical, on-the-job experience, while in
employment. They enable you to develop skills required
for a successful career, including project management,
problem-solving and leadership abilities. You also get
to apply what you learn to real-life situations in the
workplace. • Have the right to work in the UK.
How it works
You’ll be recruited by your employer as a degree
apprentice or a current employee seeking professional
development. Degree apprenticeships (level 7) take
between one and three years to complete, depending
on the course you take, your existing qualification
and experience level. Every apprenticeship delivery
is different and can vary from one day per week to
a combination of campus and distance learning, so
contact us for more information.
Applicants must:
• Spend 50 per cent of their employment in England.
• Eligibility for funding will be determined as part of
the admissions process. The payment of the course
fee is shared between the Government and some
employers, so there’s no cost to you as the degree
apprentice.
• Have an acceptable Level 2 qualification in English
and Mathematics. Acceptable qualifications include
GCSE with grade C/4 or above and Functional Skills
with Pass. Please note that we are not able to
accept all kinds of Level 2 qualifications, so if you
an unsure whether you have a suitable qualification
please get in touch. If you do not have an acceptable
qualification you may be required to take an
additional assessment during the application process.
