Dr Poon publishes extensively in the field of applied
economics, consumer economics, financial
economics, and sustainable development. She has
received seven government grants in Malaysia and
two grant awards from Japan. She currently serves
on several journal editorial boards, a grant evaluation
panel, and as an external examiner for Chartered Tax
Institute of Malaysia and other universities.
