ENTREVISTA / INTERVIEW
FEV./FEB. | 16
PL: If you had to describe the biggest challenges and most rewarding moments of working in these sectors, what would they be?
CS: Initially, our biggest challenge was to consolidate our brands in the market, taking into account the high existing national and international competition. Today the panorama is a little different and Portugal is on the route of “excellent/luxury furniture” and is increasingly seen as a reference in the sector, not only in terms of production quality, but also in terms of design. However, the challenges do not end there. Materializing products at the highest level of quality and providing an experience in the act of delivery continues to be something that challenges us on a daily basis.
In the end, our biggest wish is to “sell dreams through digital”. Fortunately, in this area there are many rewarding moments and this is, without a doubt, something that keeps us motivated. These moments range from recognition and sympathy when we are presented with the presence of customers at events and/or in our showroom, as well as the opportunity to work with major players such as Disney, in the remodeling of the Disney Wish Cruise; the St. James in London, the Novikov cafe in the Dubai Mall. These are some examples that make us proud.
PL: With the offer that the market presents us these days, have creativity and innovation become more complex? Where are you inspired?
CS: It is a reality, the offer in these sectors increases daily, which makes them highly competitive. The visibility of brands and products through social networks and e-commerce platforms greatly facilitates and supports this process of launching brands and products. Right now, everything is immediate, which makes it increasing- ly complex to define and follow trends. Which forces us more and more to create brand concepts and original products in our collections.
