ENTREVISTA / INTERVIEW

.15 | MAIO/MAY

PL: Tell us a little about Wonderlight's history.

FM: Wonderlight comes from my passion for crafts and decorative lighting. I've always had the desire to create exclusive pieces that were conceptualized and materialized through manual work.

Initially, it all started in a very organic way. Design ideas popped into my mind and I couldn't rest until I drew them. Many times the factory floor was my canvas, I drew and scratched until I was able to reproduce what I envisioned in my mind.

Today, after more than 7 years, we already have a more consolidated path and direction. Brass, Portuguese marbles, glass and resin are our main raw materials. That's what we chose as differentiating elements of our brand, allied, of course, to a creative design work that bets on a young team, capable of bringing innovative and out-of-the-box ideas.

PL: If you had to describe the biggest challenges and the most rewarding moments of working in this sector, what would they be?

FM: The most challenging thing is, without a doubt, to do different things, which have never been seen in this sector. Designs that allow us to exceed our expectations and, above all, the expectations of our customers. It's launching new pieces, introducing them to the world and receiving positive feedback that admires our creativity and craftsmanship.

PL: In a constantly evolving market and fierce competition, is it easy to innovate and exceed expectations?

FM: It's not easy. It is a process that requires a lot of willpower, motivation and, above all, a lot of creative work. Two key points are knowledge of the market, which allows us to analyze trends, and close contact with the customer, who transmits their needs to us. Thus, we can work to provide answers that match customer needs, market trends and Wonderlight's brand image.

What we are always aware of in this process is that we don't want to do more of the same, we want to innovate and enrich the world of lighting and interior design.
