POSING THE MODEL
•
Explain to the model why a pose or place won’t work in favour of the
shoot. ( if the model places herself in such a way that a weird shadow
or light is hitting on a visible place in the picture, explain to him/her that
if she/he does that pose there there will be a shadow compromising the
quality of the picture) a self aware model is a good model ( see the
long mirror on page 12)
•
When placing a model NEVER touch him/her. When you do so, it WILL
make him/her uncomfortable. Instead, try to mimic the pose you’d like
the model to adopt.
•
If a model starts to feel tired, cold or uncomfortable, ask him/her if
they’d like to end the shoot there or take a break.
•
Be sure to be your nicest self. Bring tea if it’s winter, water if it’s summer
and offer the model to take the pictures she/he needs for his/her
portfolio
