Named among the top ten holiday light displays in the world by National Geographic , St . Augustine ’ s Night of Lights is truly a magical spectacle to experience . This over-the-top display includes millions of white lights that illuminate downtown St . Augustine and cover approximately 20 blocks of the historic district . Horse-drawn carriages and trolleys take guests through the city to see historic buildings , public spaces , hotels , restaurants and businesses enveloped in thousands of sparkling lights . Experience the magical atmosphere of Night of Lights beginning November 19 with Light-Up ! Night at City Hall where holiday performers and the All Star Orchestra set the mood for the light switch , when the entire city is illuminated at once .
