went Democrat. Many Republican staffers feel that Romney was a drag on the Republican Party. That is not true, if anything the party was a drag on Romney. In the election Romney received more votes than the following Republican Senatorial Candidates: He did better than Connie Mack of Florida, George Allen in Virginia, Tommy Thompson in Wisconsin, Denny Rehberg in Montana, Jeff Flake in Arizona, Pete Hoekstra in Michigan, Deb Fischer in Nebraska, Rick Berg in North Dakota, Josh Mandel in Ohio, Todd Akin in Missouri, Richard Murdock in Indiana, and Ted Cruz in Texas. The question to ask is, where was the Republican Party? There are two Republicans within the leadership that share some element of blame for 2012. First is General of the Army, past National Security Advisor, and past Secretary of State; Colin Powell. Secretary Powell is definitely in position to know about the fragile state of our national economy, the corrupt and miserable lowering of our diplomacy in the Muslim world, and the disgraceful neglect of the military over the past four years. Yet Secretary Powell openly campaigned for President Obama in 2008 and again in 2012. Additionally there was Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey who showered President Obama with wet kisses and adulation just days before the election. With such ignominious leadership, we can hardly afford our enemies. Shame on one of my past heroes, and the fat boy too. These two stalwart leaders were not the only idiots within the Republican Party. During Tampa’ s National Convention Roll Call of delegates won by individual candidates, state
by state, Ron Paul’ s name was never even mentioned. What a petty and foolish maneuver. I am under the impression that Paul won Iowa, New Hampshire, and most likely Hawaii too. It doesn’ t matter. What does matter is that we are people of integrity and we will go through life promoting gentlemanly qualities throughout life’ s commerce. By all that is correct, Ron Paul should have been given his 15 minutes at the podium and HIS delegate count duly acknowledged. I personally know of three people that withheld their vote from Romney due to the ugly treatment given to Ron Paul at the Republican National Convention. Bad manners. I’ ve grown accustomed to being on the wrong side of“ the media.” Not since the days of President Eisenhower has the media given any quarter to a Republican President or candidate. I had no idea of the extent of power a corrupted media could and did apply. Brit Hume, Fox News Director stated that in his lifetime he had never seen a political machine as potent and persuasive as the Obama machine. This organization has managed to get inside people’ s lives in a myriad of ways that were never before considered. It is our standard to abide by the rule of law and a code of ethics in all undertakings. This doesn’ t seem to apply to Obama’ s people. Their work ethic is that there is no boundary that cannot be invaded and massaged. We have all heard stories of the misconduct and fraud that occurred in and about the many polling stations on December 6th. It seemed to have been particularly bad in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Wisconsin( all battle ground states). The governor of each state has the responsibility to ensure the integrity of each ballot cast. We are constantly enraged about the treatment given various Amendments in the Constitution. But if the time ever comes when there is widespread doubt about the truthfulness of one’ s vote, we will have gone way beyond the slippery slope of return. Imagine this. With the exception of Hawaii, every state that President Obama won DID NOT require a photo ID. However, just because we are in a legal, financial, moral, and spiritual mess, don’ t quit now. Our participation in the governing process is needed now more than ever.
