( Bob Williams visits TPM, continued from page 1)
$ 88,000,000,000($ 88 billion) per year over 10 years. This is less than 2.3 % of the fiscal year’ s expenditures, and not even equal to the automatic baseline budget increases each year. He simplified the concepts by removing 8 zeros from all the numbers above to represent a family budget: Family income this year: $ 24,690. Money the family spent: $ 37,960- No cuts, but we did spend $ 2,000 more than the previous year. New debt on the credit card just this year: $ 16,534 Total balance owed on our credit card: $ 165,329 Total outstanding loans: $ 1,227,964 Total loans and debt: $ 1,409,827 Total budget cuts so far: $ 0.
Mr. Williams shared with us the eleven winning phrases that pollster, Frank Luntz recommends to use in conversations to optimize effectiveness and win battles:“ Imagine”“ No excuses”“ I get it”“ If you remember only one thing”“ Uncompromising integrity”“ The simple truth”“ Believe in better”“ Real-time”“ You decide”“ You deserve”“ Let ' s get to work” We have certainly heard these phrases throughout the recent campaigns.
Bob said that now is the time to return to local solutions for local problems so that we can make the choice of individual freedom, as opposed to nationalization by a bloated central government.. He expressed how important a part the TEA Party plays, with their unique love of country, in demanding that our elected officials reduce spending. It is critical to elect more TEA Party candidates in every level of government who understand our core principles, and it is imperative that we do what we can to keep the new TEA Party members in Congress. He said we must never give up and that the solution to all these challenges is WE THE PEOPLE. But as we all know, the government only works when we stay involved and get others involved. He reminded us that the people are the fourth branch of government.
It was an excellent presentation and TPM is grateful for Mr. William’ s visit and his words of wisdom and encouragement.

WISE WORDS

No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we ' ll ever see on this earth!
