The second match of the day, this time disputed on Cancha 1 was one of those games that elicit all kinds of emotions, not just for the players but perhaps more so for their fans. Inasmuch as Ellerstina ended up winning and thus managed to get to another Argentine Open final, one cannot feel a certain degree of sadness for Alegría, who came within reach of winning it, and yet, it slipped through their fingers. Honestly, many of the thousands of fans were hoping for a Final that would not be between the two powerhouses: La Dolfina and Ellerstina; therefore, the mere fact that Alegria had come so close to changing what has become "the norm", was enough to make many people very sad. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. It was not in the cards. Alegria played an incredible match while Ellerstina was far from stellar; but it was a match filled with fouls for both teams, and when that happens, penalty shots are what result from them. In the end it was what the scoreboard reflected, and at the sound of final whistle the scoreboard read 15-14 in favor of Ellerstina. Surely a hear-breaking defeat for Alegria and their legions of loyal fans. It was not to be for the brave Alegria team 24
