'Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?' they asked. 'Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?' And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, ?A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home'? (Matthew 13:54-57, NIV). if it were not given to you from above...'? (John 19:10-11, NIV) This world is not our home; bad things will happen. Even during the bad things, you can be free (in your mind) by thinking like Christ. Jesus also says, ?When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.? (Luke 12:11-12, NIV) Speak it! Think it! Rest in it! People see our humanity (as they saw Jesus' humanity) and wonder why we think we're so special! The mind of Christ does not doubt God's calling ? even when those we love the most doubt us! God's opinion of us is worth more than anyone's! When we f ace bet rayal : Judas came to betray Jesus. And yet Jesus does not hate Judas. ?? Do what you came for, friend? ? (Matthew 26:50, NIV) Hatred or unforgiveness block the mind of Christ.
