We actually were surprised, because all country's were very great and the performances were in
high class interesting and convincing.
In afternoon we went back to Torres Novas, where portugal students showed us an Shakespeare's
play - "midsummer night's dream". The play was amazing! Fantastic costumes, convincing acting
and beautiful music.
The European Day was celebrated on 9th May. In the school stadium, an erudition game was
played, in which we tested our knowledge of different European countries.
In the afternoon we went on an excursion, stopped at the famous Portuguese writer Nobel Prize
winner Jose di Souza Saramago monument.
May 10th was a day of sightseeing. Early in the morning we went on a walk to Sintra, an ancient
Portuguese royal resting place, to see the Sintra Castle, walk along the small, luminous streets,
look around at the souvenir shops, and then went to Lisbon in the afternoon. We walked to
Lisbon's old town, enjoyed the charming Lisbon architecture, got to know the most significant
cultural and historical monuments, looked at the old wooden trams that are still on the usual
route.
