Train Movement Control Systems
You will need to have an understanding of all aspects of the safe and efficient control of train movement including technology , process and human factors aspects , both in relation to normal operation and in relation to the implementation of a new system or making changes to an existing one . The safe and efficient control of train movement is key to the railway business .
Signalling is a core function of a train movement control system . You will need to know about concept , design , rationale and implementation of systems of control for train movements , covering principles , practices and safety standards in normal , degraded and emergency conditions .
How good is your knowledge ?
Complete this self-assessment to see how well you know this subject area and what you can do to improve your knowledge and experience .
