The first full Lent Term of sport in nearly 2 years , and what a return it has been . We ’ ve seen more 7s tournaments and fixtures packed into the spring term than ever before , notably the U13 boys winning the cup in the Pocklington School Invitational Tournament , both Netball and Boys Hockey in full swing , and some incredible success stories in Cross-country , Equestrian , and High Jump . Some standout moments must include the 1st VII rugby trip down to Rosslyn Park for the first time in 2 years and the 1st team Boy ’ s Hockey having one of the most successful seasons in the school ’ s history . The Netball 1st teams 5 wins in 6 games in the middle of their season showed their quality and class , while some sensational performances in the Cross-country this term , especially the U13 Girls coming first at the Worksop College Festival of Junior Schools ' Cross Country , underpin what has been an incredible spring of sport . This report would not be complete without mentioning Harriet Hodge , who qualified for the Longines Royal International Horse Show 2022 , Emily Marshall , who now ranks No . 1 in the nation in her age group for High Jump , and Tom Haeney & Giles Rowley , who have been selected for the North East of England Hockey Squad .
