House Music

The shimmering lights, the seats full of eager and excited parents, the colourful outfits, the many inspirational speeches backstage before each performance and so many more elements made my very first House Music event at Pocklington School an unforgettable experience. There was a lot of time and effort that went into each house’ s performance and that effort shone through every single presentation on both nights. Moreover, I enjoyed going to the practices during break and lunch times, making sure we had each choreography and harmony mastered. I am also grateful to have been part of the flash mob that took many people by surprise and I especially loved when the crowd joined in on the chorus of‘ This is Me’. It was a special moment filled with warmth and togetherness. House Music fostered many friendships and connections with different people from several year groups and brought us all closer to one another. As I stood on the balcony of the Tom Stoppard Theatre each night, I remember feeling so thankful to have been part of this incredible event and I look forward to being a part of many more great occasions here at Pock.
