Elisheva Pereira was born in Lisbon, Portugal in 1954. She has traveled the world and finds inspiration wherever she goes. She finds
beauty and spirituality and the power of creation in everything she
sees. Elisheva expresses this intense passion through impressionism,
abstract paintings, acrylics and mixed media. Her work is deeply influenced by Kabbalah as reflected in explosions of color and creative
uses of Hebrew letters and spirituality from the old masters.

The Sara D. November Art Gallery at the Weinstein JCC has
been an important part of the Richmond art scene through
its varied year-round exhibits. The Undiscovered Artists and
Photographers Exhibit showcases the work of many talented
people who have not previously exhibited in a major show.

Donna Schatz

Donna Schatz is a photographer and documentary filmmaker. Born and raised in New York, she
studied filmmaking in Portland and began her career
as a camerawoman for Oregon Public Broadcasting
where she also worked for ABC-TV. A move to Jerusalem led to jobs as a freelance news camerawoman,
traveling through Israel and the Middle East. Along
the way and in her spare time, she took photographs,
a passion that started as a child. Her first show was
at the American Cultural Center in Jerusalem. In the
US, Donna has produced documentaries, often Jewish-themed, for PBS, and focused in recent years on
still photography.
