Emotional Quotient (EQ) is a measure of skills and abilities of every human being to recognise and regulate emotions in ourselves and in others. If this important skill and ability is not nourished and developed in the persona of a Project Manager, his/her maturity level would be low and definitely his/her chance to rise up in the higher echelon of success in the hierarchical Project Management field would be a doubtful one. EQ helps a PM to develop stakeholder relationship that supports projects' success. He/she would anticipate and avoid emotional breakdowns, if he/she has higher EQ/EI level.
