Bricklaying Key facts Apprenticeship Level 2 - Intermediate 18 months minimum duration Level 3 - Advanced This apprenticeship provides the skills you need to enter the construction industry as a bricklayer. You’ll need good practical skills, the ability to read plans, work in a well organised and accurate way alongside having an awareness of safety issues, especially when working at heights and carrying loads. CSCS Qualifications Level 2 Diploma in Trowel Occupations Level 3 Diploma in Trowel Occupations Technical Certificate Functional Skills in English and maths, if required Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) CARDS We’ll provide su pport to gain a free CS CS card to ensure yo u are up-to-date Typical units covered Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace Moving, handling and storing resources in the workplace Placing and finishing non specialist concrete in the workplace Repairing and maintaining masonry structures in the workplace Entry requirements and who is it for? You must complete an initial assessment identifying prior learning and experience in order to ensure this apprenticeship is the correct pathway. You will also need to show enthusiasm, commitment and interest in the subject area. You’ll be doing lots of kneeling down, lifting and carrying heavy materials so physical fitness is required along with being good at figures.
