Homeworks provides essential
services to people across the city
such as keeping gardens tidy,
painting and decorating
plus much more.
With over 40 teams and vehicles, this
unique service helps over 5,000
customers throughout Staffordshire
each year creating opportunities for
you to learn trade skills on the job
with qualified supervisors and
team leaders.

Providing essential work preparation
skills, team work and development
The type of work carried out by
Homeworks teams ranges from
small scale improvements and
maintenance to larger projects.
This can include;
As part of the Homeworks study
programme you’ll be working in small
teams under the direct supervision of
highly experienced professional
trades people, apprentices and
other learners.
Typically you’ll start at 8:45am and finish
at 4pm, Monday to Friday. However,
times may vary depending on
commitments in centre i.e. exams or
external weather conditions.
You will have the opportunity to develop
many employability skills including

working as part of a team, customer
service, attendance, behaviour,
timekeeping, confidence, motivation
and practical work skills.
This full time programme lasts up to
eighteen months and will help to prepare
you for employment through real grit
and team work.
