PROJECT Project challenges Strydom Junior describes the challenges as being primarily logistical and timeframes. “One of the biggest challenges with this project was the timeframe and logistics in getting material on site in a timeous manner. The Knysna area is quite remote and all stormwater and piping parts had to be couriered in from Johannesburg. This required considerable travel to Port Elizabeth and other main centres in the region. Plumblink was a considerable resource for us in this regard. “Here we must say a big thank you to Plumblink in Knysna, particularly regional manager Jacques Bruwer, branch manager Hennie Theron and their whole team. These people went out of their way to assist us with costing, PROJECT NAME: 49 “Close cooperation between all parties involved made the process of delivering a finished product on time and within budget. Weekly site meetings with the professional team determining works in progress and planning for the week ahead ensured that minimal overlapping of trades took place and that the workflow went smoothly.” Knysna Hollow NAME OF COMPANY: Owner Jack Brotherton Developer Knysna Hollow Country Estate Architect / Designer Andrew King from Frankenveldt and King Project manager Paul Micklewood and site agent Chanine de Clercq Electrical Rob Hall from De Villiers and Moore Mechanical Rob Hall from De Viliers and Moore Wet services Dave Hall from DHA Project Managers Structural & Civil Engineers Civil Dave Hall from DHA Project Managers Structural & Civil Engineers Main building Micklewood Construction HVAC & R Cooling Co Wet services JJ Strydom Plumbing Electrical MDL for civils, JB Electrical (Domestic) PRODUCT SUPPLIERS PRODUCT SUPPLIER Plumblink 1.
