7 NEWS Benjamin Brits (on left), managing editor of Plumbing Africa, and IOPSA executive director Brendan Reynolds. Investing in the future of plumbing Plumbing Africa takes up Platinum Membership with IOPSA. By Benjamin Brits As a mechanism to invest in the future and the betterment of the plumbing sector, Plumbing Africa, has taken the decision to further entrench itself into the industry by supporting the Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA) through a Platinum Membership. After over two decades of working closely with the official body as an independent voice for the industry and being the catalyst for many industry developments, relationships, and controversial issues, as well as having the intention to only promote products that comply with national standards, the decision was based on Plumbing Africa’s continual investment and participation in the industry at a high level as well as from the trenches. As a valued information source for the sector, Plumbing Africa endeavours to provide quality editorial that we believe is world-class, while also supporting the resolution of pressing issues, the upliftment of standards, and ensuring quality in every aspect of the sector, which IOPSA can achieve with the needed support from all industry players. We look forward to being a part of driving the solutions, the industry changes, and the development that will follow as the industry goes from strength to strength. As a brand, we believe this investment will produce positive results, in turn also supporting the growth of our clients and the community. As Africa’s only dedicated brand for the industry through our technical journal Plumbing Africa; our online and digital platforms (www.plumbingafrica.co.za) where 44% of views emanate from across Africa; and the continent’s only dedicated plumbing exhibition (and workshop) Plumbdrain, we have business solutions covered on every level.
