the floor plan, pipework and drainage. Water and energy-saving
technology is always on the forefront of everyone’s minds as water
shortage is a common topic around any discussion. Get up to speed
with the various options for clients to be able to advise them what is
best for their needs.
Although many clients will want a cheaper option, modernising a
bathroom using quality products is a long-term investment because
most bathrooms will only be renovated once, or maybe twice in the
lifespan of the owner.
Help your customer to choose products that offers guarantees and
where spare parts are easily available for maintenance. The last
thing you should want is to have to tell your customer that you have
to replace a whole tap or mixer at their own cost because of spares
– you will most likely not get to keep that client for future work,
and it also affects the plumbing industry because the next time the
customer needs a plumber they may already think they are going to
have problems.
Modernising a wash basin involves minimum effort. A new shower
rail for extra comfort in the shower is also quick to install. Also
consider the ‘future-proof’ aspects. Innovative technologies in
the plumbing world have seen many developments related to the
bathroom, so be sure to keep up to date with this technology so you
can advise your client accordingly. PA
