 IOPSA appoints new treasurer

 After a dedicated seven years in this position , Mark Pratt of Drain Surgeon moves on to focus more on the business , which has grown appreciably .
 The position of treasurer will be filled by Celeste Margo Le Roux . Plumbing Africa chatted to Celeste on her background and acceptance of the position :
 “ I have always been passionate about numbers and enjoy this aspect of the businesses . I currently hold a post graduate degree in Management Practice from UCT ( University of Cape Town ) GSB ( Graduate School of Business ).
 “ I have operated and managed React24 , a national site services company , for the past several years , together with opening the first black female owned CETA accredited plumbing college in the Western Cape .
 “ My other businesses include Retool , a power tool repair and service centre as well as a newly formed pipe rehabilitation entity , Relining Africa . Besides being the CEO of the React Group , I am integral in the financial and administrative policies of each entity , as well as decision-making and reporting .
 “ I firmly believe that disciplined financial and administrative policies and procedures are the backbone of any successful business .”
 Plumbing Africa asked Celeste what attracted her to the position :
 “ Being the CEO of a plumbing college and making it accessible to PDIs and females as well as employing plumbers , I am passionate about changing the narrative of women in the built environment and in particular the water space .
 I am excited about IOPSA ’ s transformation policy and in particular closing the gender gap in the industry . I feel that I can contribute in this regard and look forward to a positive engagement with all stakeholders .” PA
 “ I ensure sound financial practices within all my businesses to remain sustainable , especially in today ’ s economic climate .”
