Domestic cold and hot water pump room
Sump pumps are controlled to stop / start at different water levels via water level control sensors located inside the sumps . High level water sensors are required for both sumps and are connected to the remote alarm mimic panel .
A Ø100 uPVC pipe connected to a Grease Trap serves the Restaurant . All floor drains , sinks or any other sanitary fitting with fat or grease from the Restaurant is connected to the grease trap .

Hydrant jockey pump
Hot water production and reticulation . Hot water is produced using two Natural Gas Boilers . Three 11 000L Low Pressure Hot Water Storage Tanks supplied and installed by the Plumber separate the Boilers from the boosted water supply to the building via two Heat Exchangers ( H . E ) and prevents scaling of the boilers . The water in the closed loop system between the boilers and hot water tanks is treated with rust inhibitors and biocide . Two hot water circulation pumps , one duty one stand-by , are used to circulate water from the Gas Boilers to the hot water storage tanks at 5,1L / s . These pumps are constant speed pumps and circulate water from the hot water storage tanks to the boilers . This ensures that a constant temperature is maintained inside the hot water storage tanks . From the hot water storage tanks , two pumps ( duty / standby ), circulate water to two heat exchangers heating up the domestic water being supplied to the building . These pumps are controlled by monitoring the hot water supply to the building . The hot water supply set point is
Cold water reticulation and boosting Water is be supplied from a 135m 3 sectional steel tank with 2 internal subdivisions located in Basement level 3 using a Grundfos vertical multistage booster pump set complete with expansion tank and VSDs . The domestic water portion of the main tank is reserved on the left side of the tank and equates to ± 55m 3 in total . Water will be pumped to two 25m 3 sectional steel tanks located on the 13 th floor roof .
The two roof tanks are connected to another Grundfos vertical multistage booster pump set complete with expansion tank and VSDs in basement level 3 supply hot and cold water to each floor of the building .
