He mentioned that South Africa’s development and growing economy is what motivated the company to open their own branch in the country. “Mr Mocké reached retirement age, so our management and our owners made the decision to invest in South Africa.” According to Altmann, Stiebel Eltron is a premium high- quality German brand and has extensive experience when it comes to heat pumps and domestic hot water systems. “We are well aware about high-efficient systems,” Altmann said. He also mentioned that Stiebel Eltron products (domestic hot water systems and electrical space heating systems) would be available for plumbers and installers. Altmann said that in future, the company was looking to make their products available to retail outlets across South Africa. 19 1 2 “Stiebel Eltron is proud and very happy to invest in the country and in the market,” Altmann said. He mentioned that the company’s owners and managers were convinced that the South African market would be a great success. In conclusion, Altmann said the company looked forward to contributing to South Africa’s water- and energy-saving efforts. After all the speeches had concluded, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted to mark the official opening of Stiebel Eltron Southern Africa.
