Description: With the spirit of Christ, the school provides rehabilitation
education services for visually impaired, mentally handicapped and
disabled students. Through various aspects of learning, they can cultivate
good moral character, raise awareness and self-care ability, overcome
obstacles, and develop their potential.
Curriculum: Mainly unit based teaching, learning in groups and individual
teaching, process teaching methods and professional rehabilitation
training, so that students can learn in addition to basic subject knowledge,
and can also combine various functional learning, applied to actual ife
needs. The basic learning phases are divided into three learning sections:
Phase 1 & 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4. Low Vision Training and Directional
Walking Training are also available.

Description: Encompass Academy is a privately-owned education
centre in Hong Kong that provides children with special needs and
their families a warm and supportive environment where learning
is fortified and lives are transformed. We adopt an innovative,
systematic and safe environment in order to promote learning and
independence for those in need. Encompass offers one-on-one
therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis,
with an emphasis on Verbal Behavior. We strongly believe in
the provision of quality education for all children, especially SEN
children who often require additional attention, support and care.

Features: In response to the needs of visually impaired students, the
school has specially designed guiding paths, handrails along the walls,
plastic bumps, point numbers, touch signs, orientation marks, electronic
sound generators and crash pads, to facilitate students’ freedom in school.
There is also a Speech Therapy Department and an Occupational Therapy
Department.
Facilities: The school building has four floors which can be accessed
by stairs or a lift. The basic facilities include: natural light sky auditorium,
canteen, snack kiosk, classrooms with toilets and bathrooms, computer
room, technology and living room, music room, counselling room, care
rooms, libraries, activity rooms, conference rooms and well-equipped
dorms.
Transport: Every day, school buses transfer students on Hong Kong
Island to school. There is a fixed rehab line, picking up students who live
in remote areas every day. Every Friday or the first day before the holiday,
there is a tourist bus and a school bus to send boarding students home.
Every week on the first morning after the holidays, there are school buses
to pick up the wheelchair students who are further away from home to
return to school. The school bus has lift tables to facilitate wheelchair
students to get on and off. Regular school bus meetings are held to
enhance school bus services to meet student needs.
