Wirtgen launches Kleemann Mobiscreen MS 703 EVO
capacity of 350 tonnes per hour, the
MS 703 EVO comes with either diesel-
hydraulic or diesel-electric drive, as well
as a large number of screening media to
achieve a variety of final grain sizes and
to take different feed material.
The plant’s large feed hopper can
readily accept feeding by means of a
wheel loader or excavator, or directly
from a crushing plant. The built-in
peripheral platform ensures easy access
for maintenance and screen media
changing. Various mesh shapes and
dimensions are available, including
square, rectangular and harp, depending
on the required application.
Wirtgen SA, local subsidiary of
the Wirtgen Group, launched the
Kleemann Mobiscreen MS 703 EVO
for the construction and mining
sectors to the South African market in
June 2017.
Developed and designed in Germany,
the Kleemann MS 703 EVO is a
triple-deck mobile classification screen
that precisely screens out almost all
types of coarse natural stone, residual
construction materials, and iron
particulates of up to 150mm by up to
four fractions.
Measuring in at 1.520m × 4.440m
with a 75kW engine and with a feed

and M317D2 wheeled excavators
Remote-controlled demolition machine manufacturer Brokk has introduced the C20 Rock
Splitter attachment, manufactured by its German sister company, Darda. The C20 Rock Splitter
offers contractors a safe and quiet alternative to explosives and hydraulic breakers, and increases
productivity in the mining, quarrying, tunnelling, construction, and demolition industries. The C20
Rock Splitter comes in four models — two vertical options ranging from 163cm to 183cm long,
as well as two horizontal
options, from 179cm to 211cm
long — and can be used
with Brokk machines ranging
in size from the new Brokk
280 (with counterweights)
and up. Contractors drill a
7.5cm-diameter hole into the
rock with a separate attachment
before inserting the splitter, which

The new Cat D2 Series models (M315D2 and M317D2)
excavators offer a robust fuel-injection system, versatile
front-linkage configurations, expanded work-tool
capability, and new operator-comfort features.
The new Cat M315D2 and M317D2 wheeled
excavators offer a more robust fuel-injection system,
versatile front-linkage configurations, expanded work-
tool capability, and new operator-comfort features.
The new Cat C4.4 ACERT engine meets China
Nonroad Stage III emission standards, equivalent
to US EPA Tier 3/EU Stage IIIA standards, while
delivering the same power and fuel economy as
predecessor engines. The fuel system is designed
to manage worldwide fuel quality, with a water-in-
fuel switch that indicates when draining is required,
reducing the risk of fuel-system contamination.
The excavators can travel independently between
job sites at speeds of up to 37km/h, reducing travel
time and transportation costs. Service points are
centralised for convenience and all daily maintenance
can be performed from ground level.
Two stick options are available for each model, and
a one-piece variable adjustment boom provides easy
operation in all applications.
Available with a wide range of attachments, the
new excavators are equipped with the Cat Product
Link system to provide information that assists in
effectively managing equipment and associated costs,
while the web-based VisionLink application allows for
remote monitoring.
