NEW EQUIPMENT news
Chicago Pneumatic has introduced a new concept in vibration equipment to its range of concrete tools . The quiet , safe , and efficient Vektor 12K electronic vibrators provide high centrifugal force ( 4 600N ), making them suitable for use across a wide variety of high-to-low slump concrete applications . All Vektor models feature a high-frequency motor-in-head vibrator and a built-in frequency converter ( 60 – 220Hz or 50 – 220Hz ), allowing them to be plugged directly into a standard 115V or 230V wall socket . A silent electric induction motor , built into the vibrator head , drives a one-piece copper helical rotor and bolted eccentrics , all housed within a hardened steel tube . The vibrator head design provides for less resistance during start-up and operation , reducing power consumption , while the series ’ expansive radius of action , combined
Chicago Pneumatic with 12 000VPM vibration frequency , means fewer required insertions , and thus greater on-site productivity .
The Vektor 12K vibrators are available in two versions : a standard model equipped with a 5m hose for vibrating concrete walls , bridges and beams , and a de-vibrated E-version with Hand-Arm Vibration ( HAV ) levels as low as 0.6m / s ², designed specifically for flooring applications .
IROCK Crushers ’ redesigned TS-522 TDR track portable screening plant includes a rinser , enabling mines and quarries to screen and wash materials simultaneously for end-use applications . A rinse box at the top of the unit features two additional spray bars that pre-soak material to facilitate faster and easier removal of tough mud and clay as material reaches the screen decks . The triple-deck unit sorts and washes up to three sized and one oversized products simultaneously , processing between 200 and 300 tonnes per hour . Nine spray bars along the top deck and eight each on the middle and bottom decks with durable brass heads deliver 1.7 bar of water pressure each to remove dirt and debris from material efficiently and effectively . Technicians can rotate the spray bars to change the angle that the water hits the material , which can be done to help hold aggregates on the screen longer or force it through the screen media .
HPE Africa launches Hyundai R200LC-9S crawler excavator
HPE Africa
HPE Africa , exclusive distributors in southern Africa for Hyundai Construction Equipment , recently launched its new 20t-class crawler excavator , the Hyundai R200LC-9S , in South Africa . With an operating weight of 19.1t and a heavy-duty 0.90m ³ bucket , the R200LC-9S has been specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of the plant hire , civil engineering , construction , agriculture , and scrap handling industries .
According to Alex Ackron , managing director of HPE Africa , “ Feedback from the local market highlighted a demand for fuel efficient equipment and Hyundai Construction Equipment has responded to this need with the launch of the new R200LC-9S . Due to improved
HPE Africa recently launched the new fuel-efficient Hyundai R200LC-9S crawler excavator series in South Africa .
fuel efficiency , when compared to competitors ’ offerings in this class , customers can save up to 80 % of their capital expenditure in diesel costs over 12 000 hours of a machine ’ s service .”
The long undercarriage design ensures greater stability in arduous operating conditions . As part of the launch process , HPE Africa placed an R200LC-9S demonstration unit on site with one of the largest fleet owners of water and earth moving equipment in South Africa . Over a 14-day period , the machine built gravel stockpiles and loaded this material into tipper trucks . Fuel consumption was carefully monitored by HPE Africa ’ s technical staff and verified by the client , and at the end of the 14 days , the R200LC-9S achieved an average fuel consumption significantly below the expected nine litres an hour .
The series has low maintenance requirements and comes with the Hyundai factory offering of a two-year / 3 000-hour warranty as standard on the series . The R200LC-9S excavator also comes standard with Hyundai ’ s computer aided power optimisation ( CAPO ) system , which allows the operator to select preferences for boom or swing priority , power mode , and optional work tools .
The excavator offers three operating modes : P ( power max ) mode , which maximises machine speed and power ; S ( standard ) mode , which provides a reduced , fixed rpm ; and E ( economy ) mode , which provides precise hydraulic flow and engine power based on load demand .
