BOOKS: A Study in Scarlet – Arthur Conan Doyle by renata mota

"A Study in Scarlet" was the first book released about the adventures of one of the most well-known detectives in the world of literrature: Sherlock Holmes.

The book is narrated by Watson, roommate of Holmes, and tells the history of perfect crime: the death of a man without injury signals, but with the body surrounded by bloodstains, a dirty wall with the word RACHE (revenge, in German) and, next to the body, a mysterious ring. Holmes was soon called to solve this mystery, and in only three days he unexpectedly finds the killer. So it starts the second part of book, that tells all the history that led to the crime scene. An easy reading amazing book which grabs you from the beginning to the end, because Holmes’ intelligence solving crimes is impressive.
