The PLA Leadership Evaluation Rubric is correlated to the APFS to ensure leaders are coached on the same items they are evaluated on.

All PLA leaders must enter 3 top-line goals into the PLA Coaching Cycle Platform: ELA proficiency goal, Math proficiency goal, scholar enrollment, scholar retention, or staff retention goal. All goals must be reviewed and approved by the CEO, Chief Academic Officer, and Regional Director. Leaders have from the start of their school year until September 30th to enter them into the system.

In addition to the 3 top-line goals, leaders should submit 2 goals of their choice from the Leader Goal Menu.

Leader Evaluation Process

The Mid-Year Evaluation:

  • Regional Directors evaluate principals.

  • Principals evaluate APs, Deans, Climate and Culture staff, Instructional Coaches, teachers, support staff.

  • Leadership Effectiveness Rating is 100% of the overall score for MOY.

  • Post-conference form must be signed.

  • There is no self-assessment for leaders to complete in the platform.
