Who Is The Cheapest of them all ( Downtown edition)
WINGHARTS
VS
Nola on the Square
The prices are pretty good for
Bar food. The cheapest food
here is the Coleslaw and the
Grandma’s Potato Salad.
Starting at 2.75. The Matolla
Burger is the most expensive
item at 13.50 for the whole
burger for the half price it’s
8.75. I’ve tried their wings and
they are pretty good. So if
your in the mood Bar food I
would go here. Decent wings
at a nice price.
South Side
If I had to choose I would say they are almost both equal
priced. As long as you stay away from the higher prices You
should be great. Check these two places out. Both located in
Market Square
Good old South Side. It’s probably one
of the only places that has an Tattoo/piercing
shop on every corner.
In 1763 King George III of England
gave John Ormsby 2,400 acres which was along
the south bank of the Monogahela River. Making
this the start of South Side. The land was given
to Ormsby for serving in French and Indian War.
He decied to to dived his land into four districts:
South Pittsburgh, Birmingham, East Birmingham
and Ormsby. In 1872 all four districts were later
connected.
South Side is a mixer of older and
younger group of people making it well diverse
in that way. From Vintage clothing stores to
unqiue shops. South Side is one place for the hip
the urban. It has everything from Night clubs,Bars, little Boutiques, to South side Hosptial.
Also it’s now even more a hot spot because
South side works which has an movie theater
located in the area. Ratings on Urban Spoon
shows that Fat Heads Saloon, on 1805 E Carson
St, Pittsburgh is the number one place people are
eating over on South Side.
Fat Head Saloon
The prices are pretty
decent here. The Highest
Price food is the Grilled
Filet Mignon with is an
Entree for $35.00. The
Cheapest is the Gumbo
Ya-Ya Soup at $4.00. Even
the draft and Bottle Beers
are pretty decent. So if
your looking for a little
New Orlane Style food
then stop down at Nola’s.
Just don’t Chateau Wine
it’s cost is between 200 to
600 dollars
Downtown
Downtown, the center of
pittsburgh the home of large building
and home to almost everything.
Downtown can be considered a
New and old Neighborhood. In 2008 it
celebrated its 250th birthday. Also having
something esle to be happy about the
expanding downtown residency. And it’s
still expanding today. There are a varaity
of things to do downtown from getting
your nails done to get a bit to eat infont
of the hot dog cart. Meat and Potato’s is
the hot spot for this area on Urban
Spoon.
So lastly what is your favorite spot to eat?
Hopefully these top places make your
choice a little bit easier when picking a
place to eat at. Or maybe give you a new
resturant to try out. You can also go on
urban Spoon and rate your favorite
resturant.
