Where should we eat? Everyone has gotten that question rather
it’s from a family member, a spouse or even a friend. But usually
the answers are always the same. “Uh, I don’t know? or the “I’m
up for anything!” when half of the times you aren’t really up for
it but you can’ think of a good place to eat at.
If your a native or lived/living in Pittsburgh you might
know these three locations, Oakland, Southside and Downtown.
If your not familiar with it it’s okay here is the history of these
three.

Ever wonder were parts of the city area’s got their
names? Well the name Oakland’ first made it’s debut in Harris
Intelligencer which was a local newspaper in 1839. The area
actually got it’s name from the bounty of oak trees that were
located on William Echenbaum’s farm. He established his farm
there in 1940. When the Great Fire of 1845 came in downtown
Pittsburgh, Oakland began to develope swiftly after because
many people wanted to move in to suburban territory. In 1860
there was some commerical development taking place along side
Fifth Avenue.
Another Facts about Oakland is that it’s Pennslaivanas
third largest “Downtown” area. It’s home to many Popular
college campuses. Some are The University of Pittsburgh also
known as “Pitt”, Carlow College and Carnegie mellon University.
Leaving Oakland as a college majority resident living area. Even
Student’s that don’t attend college in Oakland live in the Oakland
Area. Also it could be said that Oakland is one of the Diverse
areas in Pittsburgh. Having many college students from diffrent
campuses and diffrent parts of the world live there. It’s Also
home of the Main Carnegie Library and it’s also the home
famous hospitals like Magee-Women’s Hosptial of UPMC and
Childrens Hosptial of Pittsburgh. Gathering from the ratings on
Urban Spoon Lulu’s Noodles, located on 400 S Craig St is a
