The Lexington School’s 2012 Strategic Plan
is quoted above. The current admission
number of 22% students of color has
nearly doubled from 2004, when Chuck
Baldecchi became Head. TLS is a school
where ethnic and socioeconomic diversity
is encouraged and supported, as reflected in
the 2015 Mission Statement on Diversity,
Multiculturalism, and Inclusion: “An
education of the highest quality demands
that our students understand how they
are a part of and impact the larger global
community. In a thoughtful and nurturing
environment, we build a culture of
understanding the human experience from
the perspective of others.”
