WHAT'S BEEN YOUR PROUDEST MOMENT SO FAR MUSICALLY? OUTSIDE OF MUSIC, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO CREATIVELY? There's a few really. Getting a good response from a crowd is definitely one of them. We played a gig in Newcastle with a band called No Teeth and the crowd were crazy! Supporting The Moonlandingz and getting signed are probably the main ones though. For most of us, making music is our main creative thing. But other than that Amy studies interactive arts at university, writes a blog, draws, does photography, sewing and gives friends and tinder dates shit stick and poke tattoos. Emily does gig and documentary photography and writes whilst Anabelle studies music at university. Hayley is in her last year of studying fine art at university, but has a love hate relationship with art and often cries about it. Alisha would like to know whether the sesh counts as a creative thing (it deffo does btw). DOES BEING AN ALL WOMEN BAND INFLUENCE YOUR MUSIC IN ANY WAY? We feel that being women doesn't affect the way we write the music, only the way it is received - and so far it's been super positive! This is a weird one for us because this all feels very natural and this is what we know. We're just people in a band playing music. Amy added "I've been in bands with lads since I was 15 and it has had a huge positive impact on me being in an all-girl band. There is a different, more comfortable vibe, and a significant lack of vagina jokes, thank god' WHAT OTHER ARTISTS ARE YOU INFLUENCED BY? Everyone in the band has their own different influences, for example Emily our drummer loves Fugazi, The Cramps and The Fall and our singer Amy loves Basement and Trash Talk. Other artists we draw influence from are Sonic Youth, Violent Femmes, Nirvana, Deap Valley and Fleetwood Mac. It was difficult for everyone to pick just a few, there are so many artists out there that influence us personally and together as a band.
