than octagonal. It is harder to get good grooves if you are a player who likes to hit forehands on the same side of the paddle. And the top tape has more area to cover. You may want to use wider tape for the top so that it does not unravel.
Avoid getting sunscreen or hand cream on your paddle grip if possible. Change your grip often if it gets wet and slimy. A new grip makes your paddle feel like new. It is easy to install so long as you wrap it using even tension along the grooves of the new grip. •
