About a year ago, clubs opened in Englewood, New Jersey, and on Long Island in the town of Westbury. The company’ s plan is to develop and operate at least 200 pickleball courts across the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut by 2030.
“ We are trying to become a major pickleball provider in our markets, and to get to market as one of the first operators of dedicated pickleball clubs,” Okin explained.“ We currently operate five such clubs, all opened in the last 18 months under the SPORTIME Pickleball brand, along with a sixth dedicated pickleball building at our club in Port Washington. Across our six clubs, we currently offer 78 dedicated indoor courts on Long Island and in New Jersey and Westchester.”
Through this expansion in the sports landscape, SPORTIME Pickleball offers players reciprocal access to 30 courts in northern New Jersey( Wayne and Englewood) and with the opening of its club in Yorktown Heights and planned launch of a new Armonk facility this fall, players will also have reciprocal access to 23 courts across Westchester County.
But, right now, SPORTIME in Wayne is drawing rave reviews from the local community. According to Okin,“ the size, scope and layout of our Wayne facility is what makes it so unique. Our 18 professional courts, private event spaces and multiple player lounges not only
allow us to accommodate large numbers of recreational players for social play, clinics and parties, but can also serve as the perfect venue to host large-scale events, including national tournaments, corporate outings, parties and more.”
Non-members are always welcome to enjoy drop-in play and programs at SPORTIME, while a very affordable and reasonable $ 20 / month membership fee is one of the most accessible in the industry. The club also offers discounted member-only program and court rental fees, advance booking privileges, and multi-club access, all without requiring players to commit to long-term contracts.
