PICKLEBALL TAKES CENTER COURT AT LIFE TIME
Life Time , which is known for its 155 + athletic resorts across North America , is expanding its pickleball programming to become a leading provider . The company started growing its pickleball open play in the summer of 2021 to appeal to both active agers and younger generations picking up the sport . It will offer pickleball at more than 300 of its locations by the end of this year .
Within the next year , Life Time will be the largest operator of indoor pickleball courts , says Life Time National Senior Director , Racquet Sports , Ajay Pant . “ Pickleball is a complementary sport to our already top-tier tennis programming ,” he explains .
Life Time is also opening its first pickleball-focused location this year by renovating one of its Minnesota clubs ( Bloomington North ) with five international competitive-level courts , a dedicated viewing area , bar and lounge space . •
