Celebrating Future Physicians and PAs
UNR Med recently welcomed 72 future physicians into the Doctor of Medicine Class of 2029 during its annual White Coat Ceremony— a tradition since 1996 that marks first-year students’ official entry into the medical profession.
In addition, the school honored 23 graduates of the Physician Assistant Studies Program during its sixth commencement on Aug. 1. Founded in 2018, the program continues to gain national recognition— ranked 21 of 206 programs in the 2025 U. S. News & World Report rankings— for preparing PAs to serve Nevada’ s rural and underserved communities.
