Two New Renown Urgent Cares Open in Northwest Reno and on South McCarran
Access to convenient, same-day care continues to grow across Reno with the opening of two new Renown Urgent Care locations. The new sites are located at 960 Ambassador Drive in Northwest Reno, which opened Oct. 7 as Renown’ s 11th urgent care location, and 6512 South McCarran Blvd in Southwest Reno, which opened Nov. 18 as the system’ s 12th location.
Both facilities provide care for patients of all ages with minor illnesses, injuries and other non-life-threatening conditions. Services include treatment for sprains, cuts and burns; diagnosis and treatment of illnesses such as flu, colds, fever and infections; care for minor allergic reactions; follow-up care that doesn’ t require an emergency room visit; and onsite diagnostic services, including lab work.
Renown Urgent Care locations are open Monday-Friday from 8 a. m. to 7 p. m. and Saturday-Sunday from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. and are staffed by experienced, boardcertified physicians, nurse practitioners and other skilled medical professionals.
Patients can check wait times and reserve a spot through Find Care Now in MyChart, or visit any location as a walk-in. Booking ahead is encouraged to help minimize wait times.
Renown & Orvis School of Nursing Receive National Award
A longstanding partnership focused on strengthening the nursing workforce has earned national recognition. Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno’ s Orvis School of Nursing have received the 2025 AACN Exemplary Academic-Practice Partnership Award from the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
