patient environment. She spent over two hours in the ED managing his airway and doing a therapeutic bronchoscopy, then a couple of days later came over to the pediatric subspecialty clinic to follow up with the patient and began multidisciplinary efforts to find palliative care versus hospice options for this young adult.
MARY LONGERO, PAC: Mary ' s positive attitude and joyful / efficient presence in the trauma room makes her an absolute joy to work with, and furthermore, a wonderful sounding board. If there were ever a day she was busy, stressed or overworked, you wouldn ' t know. She effortlessly prioritizes the patient in front of her, explains her interventions clearly and concisely, ensures she is in the trauma room in a timely fashion, and speaks to care team members with respect and clarity. She has an incredible relationship with the physicians she works with as well as our trauma office / surgery / APP team, and her attention to detail consistently shines through. She brings a smile to patients ' faces on perhaps some of their worst days. Mary, our team adores you and the work you do for our community, thank you!
REDET TESHOME, APRN: I would like to say thank you to Redet Teshome for an incredible level of dedication to Renown and to cardiac patients, excellence and collaboration during her first day off. I was the only APP on a Sunday when my peer could not come in due to illness. Cardiology services was very busy with new consults and rounding. Redet happened to get a notification via Voalte about a procedure that required a lot of logistics to make it happen. Redet voluntarily started communications regarding this procedure on her day off. She then communicated with me regarding the cardiology service and how busy it was, and she offered to have all the outpatient cardiology calls from the community forwarded to her. She then answered the calls and took care of the patients in the community by herself while I was able to take care of the busy inpatient service. Redet demonstrated a high level of collaboration well beyond the expectation of her role. Thank you, Redet! You saved the service!
DR. JACOB ZUCKER: Dr. Zucker we would like to thank you for your collaboration with Zackery ' s nephrologist and for being so willing to take over the care Zack needed without any hesitation. We appreciate your kindness, your willingness to sit and talk with all of us about more than just medicine. Your willingness to check in after the care provided and for being an absolutely amazing physician to the specialized pediatric community. We appreciate you and all you do. Thank you!
DR. NIKITA LOPEZ: Dr. Lopez went out of her way to see a patient while precepting. One of the residents here was running behind, and she stepped in to have a visit with the patient without being asked to do so. Dr. Lopez is an amazing doctor and will always be here to listen to our patients ' and staff ' s concerns. She tries to brainstorm ideas and attempt to imply them. She does not get the recognition she deserves. All I want to say is I see your hard work Dr. Lopez, and we are more than lucky to have you as a provider.
