DR. FARAZ YOUNUS: Dr. Younus was caring for a patient who had decided that comfort care was the best course of action for his medical care. The patient, however, was turning 93 which staying with us at Renown. Dr. Younus had little mini bundt cakes delivered to IMCU for the patient and his family to honor the patient ' s wish to celebrate his last birthday. Dr. Younus is the kind of physician who does kind things like this for his patients daily, having a lasting impact on how the patient and family will remember their final days. DR. JULIA CHRISTOPHER: Dr. Christopher has been instrumental in transitioning our adolescents and young adults with chronic respiratory conditions into the adult world. She went above and beyond with one of these special young patients. Jesse has been a quadriplegic since age six and has multiple very complex and painful medical issues. He is nearing end of life.
