The image above is a piece of photography taken and edited by Dmitri Tremblay. The image is a perfect example of being able to alter something and give at an entirely new impression. This is how he did it. "This piece of edited work i created using Photoshop came from my own idea, though not original. After creating a second layer, I used the magic wand select tool to remove each window i chose. Once i did this I used an orange gradient and placed it behind the building, this meant that the colour would show from each gap in the window. This turned a fairly generic and structured image into a colourful and warming image."
