BLACK PRIDE
The black activist, Marcus Garvey once said, “The black skin is not a badge of shame, but rather a glorious symbol of national greatness.” We tend to view the black skin only as a physical attribute and fail to acknowledge the symbolic meaning behind it. The black skin represents the history of the black race. It serves as a reminder and symbol of all that we have gone through and all that we have achieved. The black skin is not something that we have but a culture that we live.
It is a way of life and a history that should be appreciated.
