Why Tommy, Miho fought
Uh oh. It appears that
“Pinoy Big Brother 737”
grand winner Miho Nishida
has pissed off model and
suitor
Tommy
Esguerra.
On Wednesday’s episode
of “It’s Showtime,” it was re-
vealed that their first-ever “lov-
er’s quarrel” stemmed from
Nishida’s decision not to wake
Esguerra up for a party that
they were supposed to attend.
“Sobrang excited ako na
makasama si Miho sa party ta-
pos I waited for her all night sa
house, tapos I took a nap. But
then she comes home and she
leaves. Hindi lang man niya ako
ginising, wala man lang message,
nothing,” Es-
guerra said.
Ac-
cording to
Nishida,
she opted
not to wake
Esguerra
up because
she knew
that he was
tired from a gig the night be-
fore. She has since apologized
to Esguerra, but the latter was
a tad hesitant in accepting it.
Vice Ganda, donning his per-
sona as “Madam Bertud,” then
offered his
advice to
the two.
He said:
“Tommy,
n a u u -
nawan
kita. Ka-
hit sino
man sa
atin ang
maiwan na may pupuntahan
na isang mahalagang okasyon,
magdadamdam ‘din naman.”
“Lalo na ‘yung pag ang maka-
kasama mo ay mahalaga sa iyo.
Isipin niyo na pag-gising ninyo
sa isang araw, wala na ‘yung
taong mahal na mahal mo na
hindi mo alam kung saan siya
nagpunta. Magdadamdam ka.”
“Pero kung uunawin mo ang
dahilan kung bakit niya gina-
wa iyon, malalaman mong may
maganda naman palang inten-
syon. Ang mahalaga kasi dapat
ay alamin natin kung ano ‘yung
intensyon nung taong inakala na-
tin nagkasala sa atin,” he added.
The two eventually patched
things up by the end of the noon-
time program. •

Dinky Doo bounces back
Having gone through the
lowest of the low, comedian-
turned-director Dinky Doo now
has what he considers his second
lease in life.
Recall that Dinky’s severe
arthritis left him bedridden and
jobless in 2009. It got so bad that
he was even featured on “Wish
Ko Lang,” a wish-granting show
for the needy and those in dire
straits.
“Totally bagsak ako, lipat-
lipat ako ng bahay kasi ’di ako
makabayad ng renta,” he said.
Who would think that only six
years later, Dinky will be back in
harness and rolling in money. He
now has a franchising business
that allows him to travel abroad.
He also claims to have a rest
house, condominium units, and a
luxury sports car.
“The person in front of you
right now is a survivor,” he said.
“Ang binebenta ko ay pag-asa.”
Life has been so good for
Dinky that he even managed to co-
produce and direct the movie “One
Day Isang Araw, I Saw Nakakita,”
which had a premiere last night at
the Meralco Theater. A trilogy of
comedy, action and drama under
film outfit Yebahdabadoo, it stars
new child actor AJ Ocampo along
with John Regala, Nino Muhlach,
Allen Dizon, Lara Quigaman and
Ana Feliciano.
While he has no formal
training in directing, Dinky said he
was mentored by his close friend,
actor Ronnie Ricketts.
Is he pressured to succeed as
helmsman? Dinky smiled.
“Hindi kami after doon sa
kumita,” he said. “Ang gusto
lang namin ay ma-expose ’yung
bata at makatulong sa iba.”
He plans to do a movie on his life
story in the future, which he hopes
to field in various film festivals.
“Ang bait ni God,” he said.
“Kasi wala na ako, nabaldado na
ako, natanggalan na ako ng metro
ng Meralco, naka-apartment lang
ako. But now, nakagawa na ako ng
sarili kong pelikula, first directorial
job ko. Okay ’yung business ko.”
“Gusto ko maging ilaw (para
sa iba). I want to give hope.”
